This year, the YMCA, as the lead agency for the Old Colony Healthy Communities Coalition, was approached by WebsEdge to create a video highlighting the Coalition’s REACH project at the American Public Health Association’s 2016 Annual Meeting. WebsEdge produces award winning conference TV and online TV channels focusing on health, education and government.
This year’s conference, “Creating the Healthiest Nation: Ensuring the Right to Health,” was held in Denver, Colorado and gathered over 12,000 attendees. The Coalition was selected due to its nontraditional approach to healthcare that includes working in the faith-based community.
Over the course of this five-day conference (October 29-November 2, 2016), the Coalition’s video played over 300 times, reaching audiences from all over the world. It is anticipated that the video will reach in excess of 25,000 views and 10,000 impressions on Twitter. The Coalition’s film will be featured on APHA.org for the next year, as well as appearing on their social media sites.
